CHANE

Center for History and Archaeology

of the Near East

CHANE is a non-profit foundation administering fund-raising activities and funds-management for a select group of projects dedicated to uncovering and exploring the history and archaeology of the Near East, for the purpose of research, education and social enlightenment of the public.

At present CHANE supports projects in the Holy Land (Israel/Palestine). Current project work includes excavations, post-excavation processing activities, and the preparation of scientific publications.

CHANE relies entirely on donations to fund these projects! To donate, go to our Contact/Donate page.

CHANE has close ties with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Senior UNC Charlotte faculty members travel to Israel to conduct their academic research on the history of the region. They are joined by students, international experts and volunteers from around the world who are eager to be a part of these educational projects.
